I bought this book on preparedness. It is easy to follow and has lots of good information for breaking this daunting task into manageble segments. I'd recommend this book to anyone beginning a food storage program. It will save you many mistakes and money! --Amazon
I just got this book yesterday and have done a quick review of it. After being involved in food storage for over forty years I find this to be the simplest and most comprehensive approach. It shows how to do it quickly, easily and relatively inexpensively. I know that having three months worth of food that we can eat on an everyday basis is the best approach for the many challenges that we face in our modern world. Having experienced downturns I know how comforting not having to worry about where your next meal is coming from is. Thanks for the book and its many pieces of advice and help. --Amazon
I have studied up on food storage quite a bit and so there was a good portion of this stuff that I already knew but there were things throughout the book that I didn't know or hadn't thought about so that was helpful. There are also recipes in there which I didn't realize were going to be there, so that was a bonus. Some of them aren't as much recipes as they are ideas (example: alfredo pasta=jar of alfredo plus pasta. It's a great food storage idea if you like that jarred stuff but we don't). Some of the other recipes had things like Betty Crocker's au gratin potato's box and we try to do homemade to avoid the extra unwanted stuff that those ready made things have. There are still a fair amount of recipes to try that don't have boxed/jarred things so we'll be trying those out. It's hard to know how convenient to make food storage because homemade takes time but it's more healthy and store bought stuff takes less time but doesn't have much to offer for the healthy factor (or taste and flavor). --Amazon
