About the Author:
How does one become a tailgate food expert, anyway? As the former owner of a sports-themed restaurant, an award-winning recipe developer, TV competitor (alum of Fox s Masterchef, FYI s Food Champs, and Food Network s Cutthroat Kitchen), all while being the team mom to her two big football-playing sons, Beth Peterson landed the envied job of Tailgate Recipe Developer and Brand Cheerleader for Sam s Club and Coke Zero and as a tailgate spokesperson at ESPN College GameDays. The experience had Beth to participating in some of the biggest college tailgates around the country. She learned about the variety and tradition in tailgate foods from regions throughout the US. She found an inspired leveled-up tailgate experience, with everything from the hottest hot wings to lobster nachos, to Scandinavian soups from way up north in Fargo, to giant fancy southern cakes in the southern college town of Baton Rouge and then, there was the epic over-the-top low-country boil in South Carolina #gogamecocks!! All of this deliciousness was done-up with incredible style, think chandeliers, red carpets and ice sculptures! It s a go-big or go-home mentality that rules the tailgate experience and it s all brought to you in the pages of this book! Beth lives in the Midwest (Go Bears!) and is mom to one non-football interested daughter and two very football-interested sons (Go Bulldogs! #63, Go Hawks! #90), as well as Clyde the German Shepherd and a little Wheatie dog named Stella.
