In a world filled with the noise of technology, increasing population, and a rising debate over biblical relevancy, it seems that religion and a love of and relationship with Jesus have taken a back seat. In Simply Jesus, author Byron McWilliams provides a clear and compelling picture of the gospel of Jesus Christ and why it's important to follow him wherever he leads. Writing from a twenty-first-century perspective, McWilliams takes the unchanging truths of God's Word and lays them over modern culture. Each chapter clearly sounds a call to adventure with God-carrying out God's mandate of seeing the gospel spread throughout the world. Simply Jesus closely examines the reality of eternity and discusses the importance of the sovereignty of God and the responsibility of man. It challenges followers to overcome complacency, apathy, and boredom by reengaging in a vibrant walk with Christ. By examining the life of Jesus and the lives of those who have followed him throughout history, McWilliams demonstrates how Christians can break out of their comfort zones and follow Jesus to excitement and lives of purpose.
