A través de esta autobiografía, demandada por Nuestro Señor para vencer la reticencia de Santa Margarita María, se nos relata una historia de amor y dolor sublimes entre Nuestro Señor y Santa Margarita María que desemboca en grandes revelaciones que tienen como culmen la gran revelación, en que Nuestro Señor pide la institución de la Fiesta del Sagrado Corazón que actualmente festejamos al terminar la octava de Corpus Christi.
