About the Author

Michelle Stone worked as an electrical engineer in silicon valley for 20 years as a programmer and project manager. She also spent 3 years as a marketing manager for a pharmaceutical company producing medical instrumentation. She has always had an adventurous spirit regarding the exploration of space. As an avid amateur astronomer, she also ran a business designing and building large portable telescopes. She manages a non-profit private astronomical observatory. Her engineering background and eager interest in space exploration¬ naturally has led her to writing. She lives near Yosemite National Park and participates actively in the Mariposa Symphony Orchestra.
