About the Author

Cynthia Heath taught high school math for almost 5 years before being side-lined by medical difficulties. During her short teaching career, she specialized in working with students who had difficulties in math, those preparing for the ASVAB, and often worked with students whose life experiences created more difficulties and distractions from curricular activities. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with a minor in Secondary Education and a Master's in Education specializing in Organizational Leadership. Upon leaving teaching, Mrs. Heath was fully certified and held a rating of highly qualified for No Child Left Behind standards. "Writing this book is not as good as teaching, but it will still help my little starfish."
