About the Author:

Marco Portales has retired after publishing half a dozen books and 36 articles, including a first novel titled YEARNERS (2017).  Since 1970 he taught at SUNY/Buffalo (as an English graduate student), at UC/Berkeley, UH-Clear Lake, and Texas A&M. One summer he taught at Purdue and he remains interested in teaching Latino and Mexican American literature, which he helped start in the 1970s in California.  mportales@tamu.edu
