About the Author

Pandian Vasant is an Executive Editor of Global Journal of Technology and Optimization and Editor-in-Chief ofInternational Journal of Energy Optimization and Engineering. His main research interests are in the areas of Optimization Methods and Applications to Decision Making and Industrial Engineering, Fuzzy Optimization, Computational Intelligence, and Hybrid Soft Computing. Pandian Vasant has co-authored 200 research papers and articles in national journals, international journals, conference proceedings, conference paper presentations, and special issues as lead guest editor, lead guest editor for book chapters project, conference abstracts, edited books, and book chapters. In 2009, Pandian Vasant was awarded top reviewer for the Journal of Applied Soft Computing (Elsevier). He has been Co-Editor for AIP Conference Proceedings of PCO (Power Control and Optimization) conferences from 2008 until 2013 and editorial board member of international journals in the area of Soft Computing, Hybrid Optimization, and Computer Applications. Gerhard-Wilhelm Weber is a Professor at IAM, METU, Ankara, Turkey. His research is on OR, financial mathematics, optimization and control, life sciences, data mining, education and development; he is involved in the organization of scientific life internationally. He received his Diploma and Doctorate in mathematics, and economics / business administration, at RWTH Aachen, and his Habilitation at TU Darmstadt. He held Professorships by proxy at University of Cologne, and TU Chemnitz, Germany. At IAM, he is in the programs of Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences and Scientific Computing and Assistant to the Director, and he is a member of four further graduate schools, institutes and departments of METU. Further, he has affiliations at the universities of Siegen, Ballarat, Aveiro, North Sumatra, and Malaysia University of Technology, and he is Advisor to EURO Conferences.

Vo Ngoc Dieu received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, in 1995 and 2000, respectively and his D.Eng. degree in energy from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Pathumthani, Thailand in 2007. He is Research Associate at Energy Field of Study, AIT and lecturer at Department of Power Systems, Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. His interests are applications of AI in power system optimization, power system operation and control, power system analysis, and power systems under deregulation.
