Synopsis

Too often, Israel s public diplomacy efforts have been reactionary anddefensive, rather than pro-active. Following the flotilla incident,Israel was left acting in response to an overly hostile world media inher attempt to defend her right of national self-defense. Only afterthe publication of the Goldstone Report, Israel presented evidencedescribing and justifying the legality of her actions. And, whenpeople accuse Israel of being an apartheid state , Israel reactsagain by defending her actions and combating the perpetrators claims. However, Israel devotes little energy to showing her positive side theside of a nation returning to its homeland after 2,000 years of exileand surviving despite overwhelming odds. This book presents avalues-based approach to the defense of Israel. It argues that thosestanding with historical justice, legal justice, freedom, peace, democracy, truth, and hope, must stand with Israel.
