About the Author

Dr. Jackie Roese is a graduate from Dallas Theological Seminary and holds a Doctorate in preaching from Gordon Conwell Seminary. She served eight years at Irving Bible Church as the Teaching Pastor to Women. While there she oversaw a large bible study, pastored women, developed a decade of Bible study materials and trained other women how to teach God's Word. She has brought training to women in countries such as South Sudan, Romania and Rwanda. Along with teaching, writing and training, Jackie also speaks around the U.S. at conferences and retreats. In 2010 she founded The Marcella Project; a ministry committed to transforming women to be critical spiritual thinkers and effective teachers of God's Word. She has been married to Steve, founder of Water is Basic, for more than 20 years and has three young adult children, Hunter , Hampton and Madison.
