Synopsis

SAS stored processes harness the power of SAS programming and unleash it to non SAS users via Microsoft Office applications and the Internet. The second in the Tutorials in SAS Business Intelligence Series, Creating and Using SAS Stored Processes provides an example driven approach to creating and using SAS stored processes. Using mock hospital discharge data that is available for downloading, the tutorial guides the user in creating a wide variety of stored processes, including those with complex prompts involving macro programming. The tutorial also shows the reader how to access the stored processes through a suite of products in the SAS Business Intelligence Platform.
