The story opens the morning of 9/11 though the attack hasn’t anything to do with the story line at this moment; it’s just a reference point. Two men are discovered dead some 60 miles from each other, murder or suicide, the reader does not know this nor the identity of either but does know both are Members of the NYSE and both are in possession of Classic ’59 El Dorado’s. The story then reverts to 1965 and we follow the building of a Brokerage Empire back until that fatal late summer morning at the beginning of the new millennium. All the power, joy, love, betrayals and every other human weakness and strength are displayed within the pages of The Other Side of the Street.
