Keishorne Scott is an Entrepreneur, Disciple, Scholar, Mentor, Author, Award Winner, and Philanthropist who was born in the Town Of Arima, Trinidad and Tobago, He then moved to Brooklyn, NY at the age of eight where he has been resting his head ever since. While growing up in Canarsie he knew he was going to be the one to make a change. Inspired by friends and family; he knew he had the love and support to pursue in making a difference. Keishorne is the founder of the “Be Positive Campaign” along with “One More Educated Black Man” Foundation. By having such support he has been able to create these organizations that allows the youth to step outside of the box and create futures of their own. Mr. Scott he stated, “I just want to do something positive with my life, with the time I have left to live. Life is short, so I want to leave a mark and use every single gift God gave me”. Indeed this is something that he is doing. Mr. Scott has gone to speak at many schools, has been interviewed on varies radio shows to promote “Be Positive Campaign, Inc” and “One More Educated Black Man” Project along with other high profile locations. Let me not forget to mention he has thousands of followers on Twitter, and thousands of friends on Facebook. Keishorne believes that young men and women need to know that someone cares about whether they stay in school, off drugs, and out of jail. Children cannot raise themselves. They need caring individuals to help them when no one else will. In the world of today black men are being stereotyped as deprived, dumb, dangerous, deviant, and disturbed in which Keishorne states these are the five D’s black men must overcome. Mr. Scott has set the foundation that black men need to focus on the things they can change and let go of the things they can’t. Create a path that involves education, determination and leadership. Use the sources available to prepare one-self for positive futures and not allow the negativity and stereotypes to destruct ones soul. Any being can create their own destiny by believing in education, studying, learning, positive thinking and knowing how to not allow the cold world of today to disrupt this form of thinking. One of Keishorne goal is to lead by example and motivate black men to do more with the lives given and to give back to the community all while creating a path of success and positivity.
