Synopsis

A body is found in the ruined Constantinople hippodrome: a woman, clutching a piece of red stone. She's recently given birth, but there's no sign of the baby. About the Author
Barbara Nadel is the author of the Inspector Ikmen series, which includes Body Count, Deadline, and Harem. She received the Crime Writers' Association Silver Dagger for her novel Deadly Web.
