Full colour facsimile reprint of the original First World War, War Office war diary of the Brigade Machine Gun Company, 63 Infantry Brigade, 37th Division, covering August 1916 to November 1917 across 198 pages. It names 57 places across 70 dated entries. Alongside the daily entries the volume carries three Operation Orders and three maps. The diary opens at Cabaret Rouge Advanced Company For Berthonval on 1 August 1916. 1916 is spent at Fresvillers, Souchez, Terramesnil, Cabaret Rouge Advanced Company For Berthonval and Beaucourt. 1917 is the most travelled year, 42 places against 24 in the next busiest, and is spent at Neuve Chapelle, Donegal Farm, Merris, La Polka Farm and Loos Salient. It closes at Merris on 10 November 1917. Neuve Chapelle is where it spent longest, 29 days, including a single unbroken stay of 29 and it came back to Arras four separate times.
