About the Author:
Sieglinde C. Othmer, PhD, studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, France, and at the University of Hamburg, Germany. She immigrated to the United States after earning her doctorate. Three children and three dogs preserved her sanity through a career in psychiatric research. She currently lives with her husband in Kansas City, Missouri.
