Rannygazoo Too is another compilation of some previously published articles, but, unlike my earlier Rannygazoo (2011), there are also some new pieces which have not been previously published. The article about P.G. Wodehouse and Winston Churchill has been presented orally on several occasions, once notably at a meeting of The Wodehouse Society's Capital!Capital! chapter in Washington, D.C. with several members of the local English Speaking Union in the audience. The article about Wodehouse and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has been in the works for a considerable while but, like "Dressing for Mulliner" I considered it too long for submission to the editors of either Plum Lines or Wooster Sauce. Along with "The Mulliner Games" and "Combing the Mulliner Tales" and the Afterword about the chronology of the Mulliner stories, Rannygazoo Too still has a predominate bent toward the Mulliner stories as an aspect of Wodehouse's work that is under-recognized and, in my opinion, under-appreciated. The article on "Whose Library Is It?" is much expanded from the version that appeared originally in Wooster Sauce and is, like the Mulliner stuff, a sheer self-indulgence, as I reflect on my own rag-tag collection of Wodehouse books and Wodehouse related materials. All in all, Rannygazoo Too is, like Rannygazoo and A Mulliner Menagerie (2012), intended to be a celebration of P. G. Wodehouse, his life, times, and works. If, as I sometimes suspect, this is last of my concerted efforts to promote Plum, then I would like to think that Rannygazoo Too, taken alone or together as a third of a trilogy, would give a reader a solid introduction to Wodehouse and a substantial, indeed detailed, insight into his Mulliner short stories. And I might as well confess here that I do have several remaining notions to write more about Mulliner and Wodehouse, so the world is not yet free of that threat or hope.
