The Best Selling YA Fantasy Series with over 15,000 copies sold, 800 ratings on Goodreads, graphic novel adaptations and a TV series in the making! "Our world is different from yours. What matters here is your Chrome. You are born with it. You cannot change it. If you are Blue, you will always be Blue. Or, if you're Black like me, you will always be Black. Except for Harlequins of course.  Some say Harlequins are the result of cross breeding between Chromes. Others say they were sent by the Gods to remind us how fortunate we Chromes really are.  All I know is that Harlequins can talk like us and even act like us.  But they are not like us."  In 14-year-old Asheva's world, everyone is divided into strict factions based on color and forced to wear masks. But when Asheva is forced to flee his home, he discovers thrilling secrets about his society... What readers are saying: "A plot line that keeps you predicting with some surprising twists. Even when you can predict correctly, the resultant outcome is surprising. Characterization is flawless as one hardly realizes it's being done. There are certainly several relevant themes at play. Thumbs up. I'm getting them all." - Kindle Reviewer
"The world-building was superb, the suspense built deliciously, and at the risk of giving away more spoilers, I'll just say my only disappointment was that it ended too soon." - Kindle Reviewer

"I wanted to find some words to describe this book but it left me speechless. I loved it , the plot, the idea was one of the most inspiring to me, I wish there were more books like this.- Goodreads Reviewer "Very different story - I started it and didn't put it down until the end. Will definitely read Book 2 to see what happens to Asheva next." - Goodreads Reviewer "A Fantasy book that makes you think. It is very well written. Asheva goes from naive to discovering deceipt and lies. It is a fantasy book that resembles very much our current world." - Kindle Reviewer  "Great continuation of the story! Really liking the story and world Ricci has created here. Highly recommend!" - Goodreads Reviewer  "I usually do not read this type of genre but I'm glad I did. This series pulls you in with a great underlying message." - Goodreads Reviewer "I am really enjoying this series. Each book is more interesting than the last. The author is doing an awesome job with plot and character development." - Kindle Reviewer  "This author surprised me! The story is fiction, but the insight into people is what really appealed to me. I read all 3 books in the series and am looking forward to the fourth." - Kindle Reviewer

Review:
"[Of Masks And Chromes] is the first episode of a series simple and straightforward in its unraveling, enjoyable...the story is there. The idea of the book is interesting and history does not lack real examples of this such as the Whites against Blacks in medieval Tuscany..."
