When you visit the Gettysburg battlefield, you are surrounded by numerous regimental monuments. These were erected in the 1880's and 90's, by survivors of the battle to honor their fallen brethren. This book is a small history of some of these regiments and how they fared at the battle. It is the story of the ten highest regiments in the killed in action and percentage loss category. It can be used by the first time visitor or the seasoned Gettysburg sojourner. Stand by these monuments, open this book and descend into the maelstrom that was the battle of Gettysburg.
