What does it take to motivate students to believe in dream their dreams? Sometimes they simply need a road map and someone to lead them in the right direction. Angela R. Lewis has spoken to thousands of students throughout the country about taking personal responsibility for their future. Now, in The Game Changing Assist, she eloquently uses the game of basketball as a metaphor for the game of life. This book represents the perfect pass to set the reader up to achieve his or her goals. Lewis uses timeless principles embedded in stories from her life to illustrate that success is a choice. As a bonus, each chapter ends with an activity that provides the reader an opportunity to self-reflect and create an action plan. Uniquely this book also offers two essential components of personal growth: giving and gratitude. Both transcend athletic skill level and everyone has the power and responsibility to embody these characteristics. This book is ideal for student groups and youth based organizations looking to motivate young people to excel in life.
