This is a story of Argentines of Slovenian origin and also a study of the power of assimilation in Argentina. Nevertheless every immigrant will find himself in this book. It provokes the reader and tries to start polemics. It breaks with certain living taboos in Argentina, especially in reference to nationalism in this country; the history of the Balkan peoples is presented in all its shocking light, trying to explain the causes of certain violent history of the Balkans. One consequence was certainly emigration. This is the work of a European economist and political scientist by training, who lived and participated, as a diplomat from the former Yugoslavia, a part of that history, and has had the opportunity to meet and explain firsthand what happened behind the curtain. This is the second upgraded edition of the book that was printed for the first time in Slovenian language in 2004.
