About the Author

Mr. Charbonneau formed the company Ecuadoran Explorations Incorporated and over a two year period was no stranger to the United States Embassy, Ministry of Defense, Presidential Palace and Institute of Patrimony & Culture in Quito. As the company's President and CEO Mr. Charbonneau applied for an Archaeological Permit and negotiated the terms of a Presidential Decree and contract for the recovery of Inca treasure from the Llanganati Mountains of Ecuador. Although the contract and decree had been successfully negotiated, drafted and were awaiting signature, for political reasons Ecuador's Attorney General advised President Cordero that a contract and decree were not a requirement for the company to move forward with the project, an Archaeological Permit would suffice. The President then expressed a new found desire that the project continue without the agreed upon documentation. Absent written terms and legal assurances the fear of any recovered treasures confiscation, or of ending up in an unmarked grave, doomed the project. Decades later Mr. Charbonneau decided to tell his story and publish the writings, drawings, discoveries and secrets of renowned Ecuador treasure expert Eugen Brunner. Seven months later an expanded second edition included a detailed biographical account of Brunner's life, with new information, details and twists. Over time the story evolved and so have the works of the author with numerous updates and additional titles being researched and published.
