Synopsis

Toddlers who are exposed to learning good manners at an early age develop self-control, learn to make better choices, and become more well-rounded individuals.

But they need constant guidance from adults to develop these values, and there are certain skills that must be taught, practiced, and reinforced if you want them to respect others.

It can be a daunting challenge - especially when a toddler is throwing a tantrum - but this fun, illustrated guide will help. Give the little ones in your life the reinforcement they need to:

- eat correctly and use nice manners at mealtime;

- clean up their toys when they're finished playing;

- learn to be honest and always tell the truth;

- respect naptime rules and bedtime expectations; and

- be kind and share with family and friends.

By using the insights and strategies in this guide, you'll also help children choose healthy snacks, learn the importance of always telling the truth, and greet each day with a smile on their face.

You'll need plenty of patience, but with continued guidance you'll give the girls and boys in your life all the tools they need to become young ladies and gentlemen.

From the Author

Practicing the art of good manners starts in the home.  Teaching children good manners must begin at an early age and these behaviors reinforced until they become second nature. Instilling good manners in a child is one of the most important responsibilities a parent will ever have. This book is meant to grow with your child, because teaching manners is an ongoing process.  It is also meant to encourage dialogue between you and your little one in learning proper social behavior.  This book is divided into two parts . . . the top part is especially for the Little One in your life. Parents will read this portion to their child and take time to share and discuss the illustration with them.  The bottom portion of the text is meant for the parent or reader in order to share some thoughts about their Little One.  It is my hope that Manners and More for Little Ones will help you reinforce the skills you are already teaching as you carry on with the biggest and most rewarding effort you will ever undertake. Raising your Little One to become a caring and responsible young person is an ongoing task and a joy to watch as they grow . . . and they grow so fast!!
