About the Author:

Scott Hippe is a medical student and long-time resident of the Pacific Northwest. When he is not on his bike, he enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, and writing. In 2011 he graduated from Gonzaga University with degrees in Biology and Spanish. He has extremely far-sighted vision but has somehow managed to keep his feet firmly planted in the present--albeit with spectacles that resemble magnifying glasses. He has written a scientific article detailing research on Salamander pheromones and, most recently, a travel memoir titled "Squeaky Wheels" about riding across the United States on a pedal-powered bicycle.
