This is a story of twin brothers born in Italy in 1944 during World War II. Their mother was Italian and their father was an American Soldier. Both parents died during the war. The two twin boys were cared for by nuns until after the war where they were sent to an orphanage in Rome. After the war, one brother was adopted by a family from Venice, and the other brother was adopted by a family in the United States. Both brothers became very famous with a strange but unusual connection to each other. After many years through a series of strange coincidences, they are reunited and they discovered the mystery of how small a world it really is.
