About the Author

As a producer, director and designer, J.C. Svec's independent films, short form videos, graphic designs and scripts have been honored with more than eighty national and regional awards, including twelve prestigious Telly Awards. J.C.'s script for the video "Baker's Dozen" received 2010 Hermes, Ava and EMPixx Awards for writing and his scripts for "All That We Know" and "You Couldn't Pay Me Enough" were acknowledged with 2008 AVA Gold Awards. "All That We Know" was also recognized with a 2008 Honorable Mention Videographer Award for Creativity/Writing. "You Couldn't Pay Me Enough" received a Bronze REMI at the 2009 Houston Worldfest Video and Film Festival. His 17th short-form video, "Alone," that premiered in May of 2012 received Videographer and MarCom Awards for writing. J.C.'s one-act play, "Valerie and Theresa" was recently recognized as a 2012 Finalist in the City Theatre National Award for Short Playwriting contest. J.C.'s novelization of his World War II drama War's End is his first published book and based on his play "War's End" that is available at stageplays.com.
