Steven J. Klearman is a civil litigation attorney in Reno, Nevada and he regularly tries cases in Nevada courts. Steve studied international law at the University of Notre Dame’s Concannon Programme of International Law in London before he received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. Steve completed Harvard Law School’s mediator training course in 2000. He is a court appointed mediator in the United States District Court, District for Nevada. He is also a court-appointed arbitrator in the Nevada state district court system. Steve's articles on various aspects of law have appeared in publications both in the U.S. and abroad, including The Nevada Lawyer and The Federal Bar News and Journal. Steve has published numerous books, but his Elements of Nevada Legal Theories (now in its 15th Anniversary Fourth Edition) is considered to be the original definitive guide to Nevada civil claims; it is widely used by Nevada judges and attorneys.
