Mike Trahan was one of those people who dared to dream big dreams, and if he wanted to do something he went for it! At the tender age of fifteen Mike took his first airplane ride. He had always been fascinated with airplanes and flight, and that one short ride was all it took to convince him that he wanted to be a pilot - for the rest of his life. So, now the goal was set and all he had to do was make it happen. That was a lot easier said than done and Mike faced a lot of setbacks and obstacles on his way to my ultimate goal of being a professional pilot. A big part of this book is about those obstacles and how Mike dealt with them. He started taking flying lessons on July 14, 1957, and had his Commercial Pilot's License and Single and Multi-engine Ratings by the time  he graduated college. His ultimate goal was to qualify for U.S. Air Force Pilot Training. This is the story of how he got there.
