About the Author

Author James B. Kelleher has worked with at-risk populations for nearly two decades in intensive residential/psych hospital settings, juvenile detention, foster care, community juvenile probation programming, residential and community based homeless care & secondary education. His approach to helping kids & their families navigate the teenage years has proven to be a successful formula of challenging students & clients to be self reflective, increase mindfulness and embrace the power of choice in pursuit of character development on a daily level. This foundation has allowed a sound spring board of application to the adult populations and supporting families of the at-risk youth. Mr. Kelleher is working on a decade of marriage while raising three children with his beautiful wife Emily. Mr. Kelleher has nearly completed his masters degree in clinical & counseling psychology and intends to pursue his doctorate in the coming years while furthering the ideas shared in this book in a more expansive way through a series of books.
