Laurence Tysoe was born in 1937, and grew up in the county of Bedfordshire. He and his wife, Betty, have been married for forty-six years. Tysoe retired in 1990 from a career in the field of social work. Following his retirement, he and his wife moved to Spain for twenty-two happy years. They returned to England in 2012 and took up residence close to relatives in the historic cathedral city of Salisbury in Wiltshire. His interests are in music, sport, writing, photography, world affairs, and conservation issues. He is a published author of poetry and children’s books.
