The book is devoted to various abstract aspects of the theory of supermanifolds and superconformal manifolds, and properties of supermatrix semigroups and operators. Steven Duplij (Stepan Anatolievich Douplii) is a theoretical physicist, a Lead Staff Researcher of the Theory Group, Nuclear Physics Laboratory at V.N. Karazin National University, Kharkov, Ukraine, and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (Dr. Habil.). He has more than a hundred scientific publications, several monographs. The main areas of his research are supersymmetry and supermanifolds, quantum groups and their actions, singular theories and constrained systems, nonlinear and conformal (super)electrodynamics, multigravity and Pauli-Fierz models, ternary and polyadic structures, von Neumann regularity and semigroups, DNA theory and genetic code. Editor-compiler of "Concise Encylopedia of Supersymmetry" (Springer 2005), he has been awarded the Fulbright and Humboldt Foundation grants.
