About the Author

I'm a sport scientist and fully qualified personal trainer.

Having gained a BSc (Hons) in Sport Science, I worked at Watford and West Ham United football clubs in strength and conditioning roles. Working in elite sport showed me just what dedication and effort is required to reach the very top of any sport, and the significance of a well-structured, periodised training plan in getting there. I have used these principles ever since and hopefully my books will give you an insight into their importance.

On a personal note, I've been a fitness fanatic for as long as I can remember. It began with an immense passion for sport - from football to tennis via cross country running and cricket - and has since seen me trying my hand at every new and intriguing training approach I come across. Indeed, if it's good enough for the professionals, then it's good enough for the rest of us too.
