About the Author:
Gregory K. Hollifield (Ph.D., Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary) has preached for seventeen years and taught homiletics for nine more cross-culturally. His sermons and articles have appeared in Preaching magazine, Journal of the American Academy of Ministry, Journal of the Evangelical Homiletics Society, and Journal of Ministry and Theology. Based upon his own cross-cultural preaching experience, his paper entitled "Lessons from a Memphis Jail: What I Learned from Twelve Years of Cross-Cultural Preaching at One of America's Largest, Privately Run, Male Juvenile Correctional Facilities" was presented at the 2012 annual meeting of the Evangelical Homiletics Society.
Review:
"Preaching in Red and Yellow, Black and White captures the fundamentals of sermon development while engaging the very important and yet often neglected task of communicating with cultural sensitivity and consideration." - Bryan Loritts, Fellowship Memphis
"Greg's book is as readable as anything I've ever studied on the subject of preaching, and as practical. His quotes, illustrations, and insights are woven into this book like colorful threads, and his logic is as motivational as it's instructive. I'd advise you to put this book on top of your stack." - Robert J. Morgan, Donelson Fellowship
"A practical homiletic work that I recommend for all preachers; especially for those new on this journey, as well as the seasoned preacher." - Ralph Douglas West, Church Without Walls
"The book is readable, engaging, and encouraging. Hollifield is well acquainted with both current and classical literature dealing with preaching and utilizes this knowledge to great advantage." - Donald L. Hamilton, Professor Emeritus of Preaching at Columbia International University Seminary and School of Ministry
