This complete guide to technical, literary, academic and personal writing contains information about the English language, test taking strategies, ways to develop vocabulary and the importance of reading and self-evaluation in developing a writer’s style. The Writer’s Voice includes examples from the author and students in her Advanced Placement English Composition, practical and creative writing classes. The "Lessons in Composition" grew organically from real classrooms of “struggling writers”, including English Language Learners, who understood that even though they might not earn a living as writers, they would have to write to earn a living.
