About the Author

As the daughter of a stump rancher and "powder monkey" named Post Hole Augerson, Rae Ellen's enthusiasm for geezers began at an early age. For thirty years, she carefully charted the activities of geezers everywhere life took her. She further honed viewing techniques while working as a landscape architect with the U.S. Forest Service, an agency of unusual species richness. Now a grandmother, Rae Ellen spends summer months stalking her prey in Northern Idaho and Montana, and the rest of the year exploring the canyons of the southwestern U.S. with her canine companion, Suds. Look for her at cowboy poetry events, antique tractor shows, harmonica festivals and Mike the Headless Chicken Days in Fruita, CO.
