About the Author

DAVID J. CLARKE is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland’s Doctoral programme in history. Dr. Clarke has taught students at Memorial and the University of Liverpool, and has worked on a number of historical projects with the Town of Fogo. He is the author of A History of the Isles; Sunspots, Best of the Twillingate Sun, 1880-1953, Volumes I and II, and St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Twillingate. A History. Dr. Clarke currently makes his home in Twillingate.
