Gr 3-5-These attractive volumes offer a comprehensive look at some popular animals. Standard information is covered, along with charts and diagrams that introduce additional material. A chart called "Comparing Primates," for example, describes each of the six superfamilies. Physical features and life cycle are described as well. "History" and "Myths and Legends" pages add further context, while an "Activity" page and review questions help readers to consider what they've learned and dig deeper. A conservation page explains what is being done to help save threatened and endangered animals and their habitats. The large, clear photos are carefully chosen.
