Quick tips for preparing for SAT math:1. Every student should be attempting the questions from the practice SATs given in The Official SAT Study Guide.2. A separate solution guide for these questions is strongly recommended. 3. Begin studying at least 3 months before the SAT.4. Practice SAT math problems for 20 minutes each day.5. Choose a consistent study time and location.6. Try to solve each question in up to 4 different ways:

• Using an SAT specific math strategy.
• The quickest way you can think of.
• The way you would do it in school.
• The easiest way for you.

7. Focus on problems at and slightly above your current level.8. Attempt each question BEFORE looking at the solutions.9. Every time you get a question wrong, mark it off.10. Redo problems you have marked off every few days.11. If you get a problem wrong again, keep it marked off.12. Save the first 3 tests from the Blue Book for full length practice tests.13.
