About the Author

Martha M. Cooper is and artist and illustrator as well as a maker of baskets and other creative endeavors. In her first book, Mimi's Garden published in 2009, the illustrations came first and the descriptions of the critters in her "garden" followed. After that she published two coloring books, Mimi's Garden Coloring Book and Mimi's Seashore Coloring Book both depicting what you might see in Florida. The book of Harry the rescue cat came about because Harry definitely has a story to tell and the illustrations help to bring his story to life. Martha started writing these books to inspire her grandchildren as well as other children to read and hopefully create stories of their own.
