This is the first work of poetry coming from a Liberian about the Liberian war. This collection, which mostly comprises sonnets, provides a poetic history of Liberia, specifically as regards the war and the Ebola epidemic that is cause for concern. The book reflects on the struggles Liberia has experienced since April 14, 1979. As Liberia evolves into a great nation, these experiences are simply challenges that shape people. About the Author:
I was born in Monrovia, Liberia unto Rev. Joseph Cephas Early, Sr. and Annie T. Logan Early. I have been writing poetry since high school, but started publishing them in local newspapers and magazines in Liberia when I went to college. I hold several degrees from the University of Liberia, Interdenominational Theological Center, Emory University, University of Richmond, University of Virginia, and St. Thomas University, Miami, Florida. I love writing, especially creative writing, and I love people. People always fascinate and inspire me.
