Fred Cooksey has taught college English for more than fifteen years. He currently teaches composition, literature, creative nonfiction, and journalism at Holyoke Community College. He is also an associate editor of the Historical Journal of Massachusetts. He has taught in private liberal arts colleges, universities, and prisons. He has a BA in philosophy from George Mason University, an MA in English, also from GMU, and an MFA in creative writing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He lives in Easthampton, Massachusetts.
