With runners in the family, a lot of this info was familiar, but definitely provided us with some new tips and ideas that we've not been exposed to before. Well written and easily digestible tips. You don't feel like you have to read the whole book (or chapter) to get value from it. If you only read two or three tips a day, your running would improve immediately just by applying those thoughts. Very much appreciate this book.

As an octogenarian who finished the Honolulu Marathon in December 2011, I find this book an excellent summary of all the things a runner should know and practice to fully enjoy running--especially long distance running. In brief it is a concise common sense read with many good running tips. 5.0 out of 5 stars - good collection of tips that will help new runners get and keep going!

For anyone new to running, it provides a good range of useful tips covering motivation, nutrition, running kit, safety and many more. When I first started running, I learned a lot of these tips from scouring magazine articles and talking to other runners - now, Jago has managed to pull all this advice into one place making this a valuable running resource for anyone starting out.

About the Author

Jago Holmes is an experienced and well respected personal trainer and weight loss coach with over 13 years experience in the fitness industry.

Based in the UK his personal training company has helped thousands of clients to lose weight, get healthier and improve their lives. He has also produced a wide selection of fitness and sports specific training programs ranging from Badminton fitness training, right through to post pregnancy exercise and walking fat loss plans.
