Mahealani Harris Whose books are listed under her former name Mahealani Shellabarger Has written six novels depicting life in twentieth-century Hawaii revealing a society, richly blessed with the aloha spirit of romance, human drama, and the importance of ohana (family) set in the beautiful paradise of the Hawaiian Islands. Born in Kalihi as Mahealani Harris, raised in Lanikai, O'ahu and a graduate of Kamehameha Schools, she returned after many years of living in Santa Barbara, California to her home state of Hawai'i and resides in Waimanalo on the island of O'ahu.
