About the Author
Gurkan Erdogdu is CTO and co-founder of MechSoft. He has been involved with Java(TM) and Java(TM) EE technologies since 1999. Gurkan is also very active in an open source world and members of several open source foundations. Gurkan is a member of Apache Software Foundation and is a founder of the project Apache OpenWebBeans. Gurkan also gives trainings and special consultancy on Java(TM) and Java(TM) EE technologies. Gurkan holds BS Computer Engineering from Middle East Techical University (METU). Gurkan lives in Ankara with his wife Pelin and little daughter Derin. He can be reached from gurkanerdogdu@yahoo.com
