Mathias is our generation's Tolkien and Stephen King rolled in one Mathias' sheer output is overwhelming. the man seems to put out a book every month or two. What makes them amazing is that they are not filler and there are no throwaways. Each and every one is a masterpiece and somehow tops the last one. St. Elm's Deep is no different.
Vanx and friends fight through the cold lands of Bitterpeaks to learn more about Gallareal, and in doing so cement their bond further. The crew gets bigger and new friends and new enemies pepper the journey, but the same camaraderie that weaves through all the Vanx stories is present.

And just when things were getting even weirder, the book ends on a cliffhanger. Mathias is a master at this and I personally cant wait for the next installment, which I believe is in January.--  Mandatory345
