About the Author

Rex Lee Applegate served in the U.S. Marines, has a degree in History from UCLA and honed his skills as a connoisseur of the absurd and master of bureaucratic arcana while working for U.S. Customs.  He has also worked as a school teacher (History and English) and spent two and a half years in Afghanistan as a civilian advisor.  He lives in San Diego.
