About the Author

Dr. Thomas K. Carr (aka “Dr Stoxx”) is the Founder and CEO of DrStoxx.com (formerly “Befriend the Trend Trading”, launched in 2002). He holds the MPhil and DPhil degrees from the University of Oxford. For 16 years he was a tenured professor to undergraduate students. He currently is a fulltime trader, market analyst, trading systems developer, and trainer of traders. His management company, Kingdom Capital manages “The 8:18 Fund”. Dr. Carr’s approach combines proprietary technical setups, fundamental analysis, and “company catalyst” analysis to highlight the best stocks to buy and sell short. Dr. Carr uses these techniques to suggest daily stock selections in his three premium market letters, "The Trend Trade Letter" (from 2002), "The ETF-Reversal Letter" (from 2007), and "The Cheap Stocks Letter" (from 2010).
