Kristin Kemp, M.A.Ed., has worked in the education field for over 13 years. A former elementary school teacher, she now writes educational resources for Teacher Created Materials and supervises student teachers during their field experiences.

Jody Smith, M.A., has worked for over 30 years in education, as both as classroom teacher and more recently as an instructional coach for kindergarten through second grade teachers. She supports teachers in understanding why and how to implement the science of reading in their literacy instruction. In addition, Jody develops curriculum and has authored a wide range of resources that translate educational research into practical classroom strategies, including What the Science of Reading Says: Literacy Strategies for Early Childhood.



Margot Kinberg, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teacher Education at National University. She holds a Master's Degree in Education from LaSalle University (Philadelphia, PA) and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Delaware (Newark, DE). She has presented her research at regional, national, and international conferences and has had several articles and books published. She lives with her family in California, where her main professional interests are second language pedagogy and andragogy, second language acquisition, and bilingualism.
