How l became to write this story, was while watching my own Daughter with our Shetland Pony called Teddy. They had this amazing bond when they were together, and were more like best friends. l began to think of a young girl who, unlike myself would be the only child, who lived with just her Parents and the Animals that were in their care. Silver Birch was written, and is a short story, a sort of introduction l would like to think, showing us just a glimpse into the life of young Phoebe Adams and her amazing Parents. A family who all share the same compassion for Animals. And of young Phoebe who, being the only child, shares an amazing bond with her pony, who means more to her than anything..

It was the beginning of another busy day at The Silver Birch Riding School, today, was the local pony show and many of the horses, would be attending. Helping, was a young girl called Phoebe Adams, whose parents owned the School.
As Phoebe and her friends, were busy gathering the tack they would be needing for the day. Phoebe's Mum who was called Lauren, was helping with the ponies that were frightened of being loaded onto trailers. She was an experienced horse trainer, who had been to America, to be taught by a famous  horse whisperer at his ranch in Montana. Where she learned all about the handling and training of horses, so was always able to give, the encouragement they needed. It was during her time there, that she met Phoebe's Dad, Reece Adams. He was a Stunt Rider who had been in many films,  and  could train any horse that seemed to be highly strung, or just needing gentle handling. Together, they made a great  team
