Synopsis

Maiden Voyage Play-Along: Real Book Multi-Tracks Volume 1 is a jazz play-along sheet music collection combining accurate lead sheets with professional online audio tracks for 10 songs by various composers. Created for musicians playing C, B-flat, E-flat, and bass clef instruments, it provides separate lead sheets for each of these instrument types, making it a versatile resource for individual practice, rehearsal, and performance preparation.

The collection includes lead sheets for 10 jazz standards together with access to customizable online accompaniment. The interactive audio interface provides tempo control and looping, plus controls that allow individual instruments in the track to be turned on or off. A follow-along marker accompanies the displayed lead sheet, while the melody is performed by saxophone or trumpet on the head in and head out. Full stereo tracks can also be downloaded for offline playback.

The combination of written lead sheets and adjustable backing tracks gives musicians a practical way to explore jazz repertoire while working with tempo, repetition, ensemble texture, melody, and accompaniment. Being able to loop passages or change the instrumental mix supports focused practice and rehearsal, while the professional tracks bring the musical context of each selection into regular playing.
